Cíle předmětu
Students will study the interactions between diverse groups, including how power differentials can impact the lives of members of minority groups. Examples of diverse groups presented in the class will come from an American perspective, although other perspectives will also be explored. Students will be encouraged to discuss and explore their own experiences with diversity. Students will learn and strengthen the skills of empathy, assessment, and cultural competency.
